A website for teachers who are blind or visually impaired.

Taking Advantage of Resources

Many resources exist for teachers who are blind or visually impaired. Some are online resources such as websites and blogs while others are offline books, articles, or videos. These resources range from directories on how to get rehabilitation services to learn to do common tasks in new ways, to databases of professionals in visual impairment with whom you can establish contact, to interactive discussions with individuals with visual impairments who have common experiences, to books that describe your visual impairment and adaptive skills and devices that are commonly found to be useful. Explore the links in this section labeled: Blog, Discussion Boards, Links, and Resources for some specific examples of what is available. The lists contained in these links are not exhaustive. Feel free to share other resources you have found!
