Being a TeacherTeaching can be an exciting, rewarding career, but it can also pose challenges whether the teacher is sighted or has a visual impairment. Many resources designed for teachers rely heavily on visual elements and can be difficult to obtain in a format which is accessible. Furthermore, these resources often focus on methods of teaching which rely on vision in order to use successfully, and although it is important to utilize these general teaching resources, it can also be helpful to learn techniques that work specifically for teachers with a visual impairment. This section of the website provides some tips, ideas, and resources for practicing teachers who are blind or visually impaired. |
